Eric called his business partner Mike and he picked us up at the hotel along with all our gear (Jennifer followed on her 2008 Kawasaki Versys) and we went to his house for BBQ and Fireworks with his family. Good food and very Fun kids (and adults too)!
We stayed at the Rodeway Inn by PDX @ 8000 points per night. We were lucky Eric has so many points from business travel. We stayed over the weekend 3 days Fri - Sun nights. Mike loaned us his Toyota 4Runner to use during the weekend so we could get around. Too kind!
Saturday Mike took us with his family to the Bonneville Dam and Fish Hatchery and fish ladder. Very cool.
Sunday we stayed in the Hotel and studied our scriptures. We were self-conscious about attending an LDS (Mormon) Family Ward dressed in our Motorcycle protective clothes. Interestingly enough, the hotel was a foursquare church!!! It rained some Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
